Recreational Clinics

Every year, the Wilmington Recreation Departments offers tennis clinics to players of all ages and abilities. The clinics are announced in the Department's flyer which is available at Town Hall, or sent home through the grammar schools.

Summer Clinics

All clinics are held at the Boutwell School courts. Limited number of racquets are available. Register with the Wilmington Recreation Department, 121 Glen Road (Town Hall). 

Beginner Clinics

  • These clinics run Monday through Friday, one-hour per day.
  • 9:00-10:00am for ages 5-7
  • 10:00-11:00am for ages 8-10
  • 11:00am-12:00pm for ages 8-12
  • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis program.

Intermediate Clinics

  • Beginner lessons a prerequisite.
  • 11:00am-12:00pm for ages 8-12
  • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis program.

Adult Clinics

  • Six week program.
  • All levels welcome.
  • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis program.

 Tennis for Two

  • Ages 4 and 5.
  • Players bring along their Mom, Dad, Nana, Papa, Aunt, Uncle, or older sibling who is instructed how to teach their youngster.
  • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis program.

Evening Clinics for Middle Schoolers

    • For players entering grades 6-9.
    • All levels welcome.
    • Two, three week programs.
    • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis programs.

    Evening Clinics for High Schoolers

      • For players entering grades 9 - 12.
      • All levels welcome.
      • Six week program.
      • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis programs.

      Evening Clinics for Junior Players

      • For players entering grades 3-5.
      • All levels welcome.
      • Six week program.
      • Please bring a can of balls to donate to the tennis program.

      Spring Clinics

      These clinics are held indoors at the Shawsheen School gymnasium. If weather permits, the lessons will be held outside at the Shawsheen School courts.

      • 6 weeks
      • Ages 4 through Kindergarten
      • Grades 1 through 3
      • Grades 4 and 5

      These clinics are held at the Shawsheen School courts.

      • 6 weeks
      • Grades 4-5
      • Grades 6-8

      This clinic is held at the North Intermediate courts.

      • 6 weeks
      • Grades 4-5
