The Friends of Wilmington Tennis (FWT) page explains the mission and goals of this non-profit organization. There are many ways you can help the Friends improve our community's tennis facilities and programs. Check back to learn more about the FWT tournament to be held late summer, and other fundraising events. Wilmington has many court facilities. The Local Courts / Tournaments page lists our community's public courts, as well as local, indoor facilities. Tennis is a year-round sport in Wilmington, and there are many indoor facilities available to accommodate your passion. This page also includes information about two significant local tournaments that occur each year in our neighboring towns of Reading and Burlington. These are well-attended fundraising events with strong competition. The Wilmington Recreation Department's tennis clinics continue to grow and improve. The Tennis Ladder was started two years ago by a local enthusiast to encourage the high school team players to continue to develop and improve their post-season match play and strokes. The first year's ladder was a success, and it continues to grow - anyone who has match experience is welcome to join. Visit the Tennis Ladder page to learn more about it. The Wildcat Tennis Clinic is a new addition to our Community's tennis options. It is directed by Wilmington's high school coach, Matt Hackett, and is designed to expose our middle school, freshmen, and sophmore players to this great game.
